Five Star Tool Company has extensive experience and expertise in grinding turned parts and bar stock. We can grind parts with complex shapes between centers on our CNC. Cylindrical Grinders, which can hold tolerances as low as +/- 1.78 microns (+/-.000070″). We have a vast grinding technology from CNC OD, ID, CNC Cylindrical, CNC Crush Form Grinding, CNC Surface Grinding, Flat Disc Grinding, and 7-axis Cutter Grinding which gives us an extreme advantage. Many of our machines have robots that allow for lights-out production. With our grinding technology, we have some of the most advanced inspection equipment in the industry. Material ranges from ceramic, carbide, and PM HSS to high alloy aircraft materials. Adding our climate-controlled facility with sophisticated filtration systems and chilled coolants aids in absolute precision work cells.
Specializing in all types of CNC Grinding
CNC Cutter Grinders
CNC Cutter grinders are for manufacturing and reconditioning of end mills, high-performance drills, drill points, step drills, form tools, medical tools, inserts, gear tools, and other custom tools.
CNC Cylindrical and OD Grinders
These machines are used to create a round or cylindrical shape on the workpiece by grinding cylindrical parts to a high degree of accuracy. Centerless grinders: These machines are used to create a cylindrical shape on the workpiece by removing material from the outer surface while the workpiece is rotated between a grinding wheel and a regulating between wheels.
ID Grinders
ID grinding, also known as internal grinding, inside diameter grinding, inner diameter grinding, or bore grinding, is the process of removing material in a precise manner from the inside diameter of a cylindrical or conical workpiece.
CNC Crush Form Grinding
Form grinding after heat-treating minimizes problems of form geometry due to distortion and reduces pre-machining costs. CNC profile grinders hold a complete profile on a single grinding wheel, with left-to-right or right-to-left continuity. These grinders prevent thermal expansion and enable unmatched precision. They are widely used in the aerospace, automotive, and medical device industries, as well as in the production of precision components for industrial equipment and consumer.
Flat Disc Grinding
This method of grinding holds extreme flatness and parallelism in a production environment. This process produces precise and repeatable results.
Surface grinders
These machines create a flat surface on the workpiece by moving the abrasive wheel across the surface.
